Beechwood Memorial Volunteers 2011

Are you energetic, compassionate, and looking for a way to make a difference? Are you searching for a way to meet new people? Are you interested in exploring a career in a medical field? The Beechwood Memorial volunteer program may be right for you!

Our team members are of all ages. We come from different backgrounds and walks of life. But we all have one thing in common: our passion for service. Whether answering phones, escorting visitors, cuddling babies or visiting patients, we are improving the lives of those we touch.

Volunteers work four-hour shifts and at least 100 hours a year, giving even those with the busiest lives an opportunity to make a difference. If you are compassionate, committed, and ready to serve, you can fill out our Volunteer Application (adult or junior) and once complete drop off at the Information Desk or email to marchelle.jensen@hcahealthcare.com. We look forward to meeting you!

Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers form the backbone of our team. We are capable and friendly, confident in our ability to make a difference in the lives of others. We drive shuttles, direct visitors, cuddle babies, and deliver books and toys to patients. We employ our professional skills as patient ambassadors, chaplains, and pet partners. And as we do what we do best, we free the hospital staff to focus on what they do best: patient care.

Junior Volunteers

Energetic and committed, Junior volunteers (ages 14-18) play a key role in serving patients and their families. Operating book carts, answering phones, and escorting patients, their friendly smiles are often the first our visitors encounter.

Auxiliary

The Beechwood Memorial Auxiliary is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to creating a positive experience for patients and their families. Auxiliary members provide bears for children, fresh clothing to ER patients, gas cards to patients traveling for treatment, and lodging accommodations to the families of out of town patients. To discover how you can help with this vital work or to make a donation, call (208) 529-6207.
