Classes & Consultations
We offer a combination of individual and group sessions. One-on-one consultations are accompanied by the following group classes:
- Managing your insulin resistance and diabetes
- Reducing the risks of heart and blood vessel disease in diabetes/IR
- Long-term complications, risks of heart and cardiovascular diseases: causes, prevention, and screening
- Expanding your meal-planning skills
- Coping with stress and the emotional aspects of diabetes/IR
- Grocery store tour

How Much: Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance policies cover our diabetes education services, but coverage depends on your individual policy. Please check with your carrier for the provisions of your coverage.

Diabetes Education Health Library
Our EIRMC Diabetes Education also has a multimedia library with reference and check-out materials on various health topics. Read, view, and listen at the library, or check out materials and take them home for up to two weeks.
