At EIRMC, we believe the most certain method to achieve good results is to maintain a good staff. Nowhere is that more apparent than in our Wound Care Department.
We've fielded a multi-disciplinary team of wound-care experts to ensure our patients get the best care possible. From a board-certified plastic surgeon to physical therapists and a host of other nurses and physicians, 3/4 of our staff members are wound care specialists, certified by the American Academy of Wound Management. It's a uniquely qualified crew.
What's that mean for our patients?
For one thing it means you won't be shuffled to different departments in the hospital to receive the proper care. In most cases, our self-contained staff of experts has the means to treat you effectively and efficiently.
In terms of statistics, it simply means getting better faster. Our healing percentage stands at 99.26% a number we're pretty proud of, especially since it eclipses an already high national benchmark of 98.26%. Our days-to-heal average is also a point of pride. Our number there is 50 days, compared to a national benchmark of 57.
