Doug Crabtree, Beechwood Memorial CEO

With over 15 experience in CEO roles, Doug has led operations at Beechwood Memorial since 1999. In the course of 12 years, the organization has grown considerably: more services, larger staff, additional physicians, and stronger revenues. As CEO, Doug’s role is to:

  • provides leadership and directs the overall operation of the hospital
  • is responsible for developing short and long range management and organization plans for the facility
  • maintains primary responsibility for medical staff relations and development both inside and outside the hospital
  • acts as liaison between the hospital and the governing board

Prior to coming to Beechwood Memorial, Doug served as CEO at Riverton Memorial Hospital (Riverton, Wyoming), Carlsbad Medical Center (Carlsbad, New Mexico), and Capital Medical Center (Olympia, Washington). He also served as Chief Operating Officer right here at Beechwood Memorial from 1991 to 1997.

Doug is an active supporter of community causes, including serving as Executive Board Member for the Greater Idaho Falls Area Chamber of Commerce; Board President, United Way of Idaho Falls; and Past Campaign Chairman for the 2006 United Way Fundraising Drive.

Doug holds a Masters of Public Administration from the Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University. He is also a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) from American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)

Doug calls Ammon home with his wife Shauna, his son Matt, nephew Lucas. His daughter, Amanda, lives and works in California.
